Who we are

AGS is an independent sourcing office based in HCMC, Vietnam. Our organization is simple and lean with an experienced team of 10 people (products merchandisers and quality teams).

We focus exclusively on categories for which we have extensive product expertise, several years of experience and dependable vendor portfolios from Vietnam: homeline, furniture, softline and food products.

What we do is simple. We work as a sourcing agent and assist our clients in locating, choosing and negotiating products. We are dedicated to those categories which we have strengths and developed a strong vendor basis.

Our main objective is to ensure that our clients get the lowest possible price for their desired quality grade. We source vendors, certify factories and products, monitor production and inspect final goods thanks to our presence in Vietnam.

We concentrate exclusively on sourcing & order execution which are our scope of expertise. We let client’s in-house designers, style specialists and creative teams do their work. We work with them, we don’t compete with them.

We are not a trading company. We connect partners and vendors in Vietnam in total transparency. We take care of the follow-up of the orders on behalf of our partners.

We provide full disclosure of our activities, resources  and the vendors or factories we work with. We qualify the factories’ capabilities and audit them for social and environmental compliance.

Consolidating Buying Power

We work with many partners all over the world enabling us to negotiate the lower prices for them by consolidating orders. We consolidate purchases of various clients when it’s possible.

In accordance to International standards regarding Corporate Social Responsibility, we select suppliers and products meeting ethics commitments regarding child labor, working hours and work safety.

All our suppliers sign an ethical code and are audited regularly under ICS initiative or BSCI standards.

A blacklisted supplier is blacklisted from dealing with any of retailers companies that are members of the ICS initiative and BSCI association.

A country in constant development

Vietnam has become an alternative to other countries in Asia. With relatively low labor costs compared to other Southeast Asian countries, an abundant Agriculture and a growing Industry, Vietnam is one of the most dynamic economies in the world, still on the decade to come. Of the ten ASEAN members, Vietnam has become the EU's second most important trading partner after Singapore. The on-going Free-Trade agreements with European and US markets will provide more opportunities for the Vietnamese industry in the near future. Vietnam is regarded as one of the quiet success stories of Asia.

An Agricultural and Industrial Economy

With its over 1 million km2 of long coastline stretching from the North to the South, Vietnam benefits from a big potential to export aquaculture products. Nowadays, Vietnam’s Fishery Industry reaches the Top 3 in Asia regarding exports.
Thanks to a dynamic industrialization, Vietnam has been able to grow its textiles sector rapidly in recent years. Indeed, clothing and apparel would make up around a fifth of the growth in Vietnam’s exports from 2013 to 2015. Vietnam’s exports are also largely weighted towards wood manufactures and telecoms equipment.

Developing higher-value

Vietnam's agricultural sector is at a turning point as it starts to become more consumer-oriented rather than driven solely by high-volume output differentiating itself from its competitors like China. It has made enormous progress. The country has emerged as one of the world’s leading exporters of agro-food commodities and is among the top five for aquatic products, rice, coffee, tea, cashews, black pepper, rubber, and cassava. 2017 is a key year in the implementation of the national socio-economic development plan and the agricultural development plan for the 2016-2021 period.
